How can one describe Jen in a few words? She was charismatic, an original who lived life to the beat of her own drum, passionate, stylish, always immaculately groomed from top to toe reminding one of the era of elegant dressing in the fifties. Undoubtedly beautiful but her beauty was more than skin deep. She was kind to a fault, sensitive, caring and when she loved she loved without reserve. She knew how to give of herself. She supported me in my bad times through my parents' deaths, talking to me all night before my mother's funeral. During the lockdowns she rang every day because she knew I lived on my own and was new to the area. She baked cakes and deposited them on my doorstep to cheer me up. Our bond strengthened in the last two years of her life when I tried to support her in every way. We were in constant touch. She called me Marita (Mum and Sarita) and I in turn considered her to be my other daughter. She was feisty , full of fun and sprinkled her fairy dust in my life. She died far too young but will live in my heart and in my wonderful memories of her for always. I loved her, and always will.
